Tax-focused Indian law firm Economic Laws Practice has continued the strategic diversification of its offerings with the addition of partner Anshuman Jagtap to its real estate practice in Mumbai.

Jagtap, who joins from Lexicon Law Partners, has more than 14 years of experience in real estate title diligence and transaction work. He has advised on the development of integrated townships, projects regulated by MMRDA and MIDC, logistics, warehousing, slum rehabilitation schemes and title verification.

Jagtap joined Lexicon Law in 2019 as partner, prior to which he was an associate partner at Hariani & Co., a Mumbai-based firm headed by Ameet Hariani.

As part of its strategic growth, ELP launched a capital markets practice last month, adding partner Geeta Dhania in Delhi and Prashaant Vikram Rajput in Mumbai. The firm also added international arbitration pro and former Rajah & Tann lawyer Karam Advani to strengthen the firm’s international network. Earlier in the year, ELP added former Ola Electric general counsel Sanjit Nagarkatti in Bengaluru.
