Tax-focused law firm Economic Laws Practice has expanded its services by adding capital markets practice. The new team will be led by partner Geeta Dhania, who joins from Luthra and Luthra Law Offices, along with a team of six lawyers.

Dhania and her team will be based out of the firm’s Noida office.

With over 19 years of experience, Dhania has advised on some of the largest securities transactions in India, including domestic and international listings of equity, debt, and convertible securities, as well as private placements and public offerings across various industries.

“She brings us a vertical that is allied to ELP’s growing client needs and profile. With her on the team we look forward to entering the capital markets space well beyond Delhi,” Suhail Nathani, ELP’s managing partner, said in a statement.

Earlier in the year, former Ola Electric general counsel Sanjit Nagarkatti joined ELP’s Bengaluru office.
