Indian law firm Argus Partners has continued its strong growth in the second half of this year with the addition of Aseem Dhawan as a partner in its banking and finance practice in Delhi.

The hire follows the addition of a 10-member corporate team from IndusLaw including three partners, banking and finance equity partner Utkarsh Bandhu from JSA Advocates & Solicitors, and Aayush Kumar, former assistant general counsel at Nayara Energy.

Dhawan, who was previously a counsel at Trilegal, has over nine years of experience in the areas of project finance, debt capital markets, structured finance, and corporate lending.

“His joining strengthens and adds significant depth to our finance practice in Delhi NCR and I am confident that Aseem’s expertise will be instrumental in further enhancing the value we bring to our clients in the banking and finance space,” said Krishnava Dutt, Argus’ managing partner, in a statement.

Earlier this month, Argus also promoted disputes attorney Priyanka Shetty to its partnership.
