Kochhar & Co has continued its growth in 2024 with the addition of corporate lawyer Akshat Bhatnagar to its New Delhi office.

Bhatnagar joins from international law firm Kaden Boriss’ India alliance firm where he was senior partner. With 15 years of experience, Bhatnagar brings a blend of in-house and law firm experience. He has been the general counsel at Ibibo Group and CP Wholesale India, after starting his career as a legal counsel at Reliance Industries.

As a corporate and commercial Lawyer, Bhatnagar handles regulatory, advisory, compliance and documentation services pertaining to corporate, commercial and cross-border investment laws including PE, besides services relating to the real estate sector like due diligence, development, acquisition, disposition, leasing, financing, zoning, and land use.

Bhatnagar’s hire marks Kochhar’s most recent lateral this year, after it added real estate expert Mohan Kumar in Hyderabad from Tatva Legal, and dispute resolution specialist Ashish Kothari in Gurgaon from King Stubb & Kasiva.

It also has employment partner Debjani Aich to IndusLaw in Bengaluru and banking and projects partner Parul Verma to Dentons Link Legal in Delhi.
