Tatva Legal, Hyderabad has continued the expansion of its corporate practice with the addition of partner Tarunya Jain, who leaves her role as chief executive officer of California-headquartered luxury subscription box model company Boxwalla’s India arm.

In December, the firm hired Prateek Batra from Trilegal as a partner in its corporate practice.

Jain, a former partner at Khaitan & Co, has 17 of experience advising clients on transactions and corporate restructuring with a focus on including technology, manufacturing, electric vehicles, retail, e-commerce, insurance, media, pharmaceuticals, and the cement sectors.

She has a particular focus on incorporating ESG in deal dialogues, and structuring and negotiating domestic and cross-border PE, M&A, and demerger transactions.

Jain, who spent nearly 15 years at Khaitan at the start of her career, left the partnership in 2022 to take up the CEO role at Boxwalla India.

“Her extensive experience and strategic approach will make her a valuable addition to our general corporate and transactions practices. She is a great culture fit and will be a valuable asset to the Firm, contributing both in immediate impact and long-term success,” said Shailendra Komatreddy, managing partner of Tatva Legal, Hyderabad.
