Indian law firm Kochhar & Co has appointed Ashish Kothari as partner in its dispute resolution and litigation practice in Gurgaon.

Kothari joins from King Stubb & Kasiva (KSK), where he was a partner and head of the agrochemicals and insecticides Practice. He brings with him a team of four, including a principal associate, a senior associate, and two associates.

With over 15 years of experience, Kothari specializes in insecticides, seeds, and fertilizer laws, representing global and Indian agrochemical companies. He has also handled matters related to insolvency, sports and gaming laws, competition law, medical negligence, and commercial disputes.

Kothari joined KSK in January 2021, prior to which he was a partner at Krida Legal. Earlier, he spent nearly nine years at Virmani & Virmani Law Firm.

“His expertise and track record in dispute resolution and litigation will enhance both our Delhi/NCR disputes practice and our pan-India capabilities,” said Rohit Kochhar, managing partner of Kochhar & Co, in a statement.

Founded in 1994, Kochhar & Co has more than 200 lawyers across its nine offices in India, Singapore and Dubai.
