Khushboo Kataruka has been appointed as a partner and head of the firm's East India practice in Ranchi. With over a decade of experience, Kataruka specialises in civil, commercial, cyber and criminal law, and has handled cases before the Jharkhand High Court and district courts.

Amit Verma, who has expertise in corporate and M&A work, has joined as a partner designate in the Delhi office. Verma previously worked at law firm NovoJuris Legal in Bangalore, and in in-house roles at CORE Diagnostics, C1 India, and Crow Propbuild.

In Mumbai, Svadha Shankar has come on board as a partner designate, focusing on civil and commercial litigation as well as regulatory litigation and advisory matters. Shankar has over 10 years of experience in handling complex cases before courts, tribunals and regulators like SEBI.

"These strategic appointments will bolster our Delhi, Mumbai and Ranchi offices and reflect our commitment to expanding our footprint across India," said Shweta Bharti, managing partner at Hammurabi & Solomon, in a statement.
