Tax-focussed Economic Laws Practice has continued its strategic diversification into other practice areas with the addition of Khaitan & Co partner Sudip Mullick, who was a partner in the real estate and construction practices and spearheaded that firm’s hospitality group.

Mullick, who had been at Khaitan for 28 years, has experience in real estate matters, construction contracts and disputes arising out of construction contracts. He is an independent director on the boards of Tata Realty and Infrastructure, Tata Housing Development Company, Uchit Expressways, Hampi Expressways, and Pune IT City Metro Rail.

“Sudip joining ELP further demonstrates the strength of ELP as a platform for like-minded professionals. With him on board ELP will undoubtedly strengthen our existing offerings in hospitality, litigation and real estate,” said Suhail Nathani, ELP’s managing partner, in a statement.

So far this year, ELP has added former Rajah & Tann dispute lawyer Karam Advani, a capital markets team led by Geeta Dhania from Luthra and Luthra Law Offices, and former Ola Electric general counsel Sanjit Nagarkatti.
