Trilegal has guided mortgage lender Sammaan Capital (formerly Indiabulls Housing Finance) on its $150 million fundraising through a qualified institutional placement (QIP) of shares.

IndusLaw and Linklaters served as advisors to the book-running lead managers (BRLMs), which included CLSA India, UBS Securities India, and DAM Capital Advisors.

The offering saw participation from several prominent investors, including U.S.-based investment fund Capital Group, London-based hedge fund Marshall Wace and asset manager BlackRock, according to the Economic Times.

This marks the second QIP in India in 2025, following Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail’s $215 million fundraise earlier this year, on which Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, AZB & Partners, and Hogan Lovells Lee & Lee received mandates

Trilegal's capital markets team was led by partners Richa Choudhary and Murtaza Zoomkawala, and comprised senior associate Ritika Khare and associates Rainika Malhotra, Anushri Maskara, and Yatin Shikarpuri.

The IndusLaw team was led by partner Kaushik Mukherjee, and included associates Anumeha Agrawal, Yash Chhikara, and Dipti Tharwani, senior executive Chetna Agrawal, and assistant manager Akshay Madhvani.
