Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co has advised Sona BLW Precision Forgings (Sona Comstar) on its $190 million agreement to acquire the Railway Equipment Division (RED) of Escorts Kubota (EKL), which was represented by DMD Advocates.

RED is a leading supplier of critical components for railways, such as brakes, couplers, suspension systems, and friction and rubber products.

This divestment aligns with EKL’s strategic focus on the agricultural and construction equipment sectors.
