Criminal-law-focused firm MZM Legal has expanded its presence to southern India after launching a new office in Hyderabad. This is its third office after Mumbai and New Delhi.

Establishing presence in Hyderabad is strategically significant, said MZM's managing partner, Zulfiquar Memon, in a statement. "This move follows the recent expansion of office space in Mumbai, demonstrating the firm's momentum and trajectory towards greater heights," he said.

Established in 2005, MZM Legal is a full-service law firm with a focus on white-collar crime. It offers pan-India services through cooperation with other law firms in different areas.

This move continues a recent trend of law firms headquartered in Mumbai and New Delhi setting up shop in India's south. Luthra & Luthra Law Offices and AZB & Partners launched in Chennai in the past year. Stratage Law Partners, Emerald Law Offices and Wadia Ghandy & Co all opened offices in Bengaluru in 2023. Hyderabad saw new offices established by Chandiok & Mahajan in 2022, and Saraf and Partners last year.
