Mumbai-headquartered law firm Wadia Ghandy & Co has opened an office in Bengaluru, hiring Pinaz Mehta as a partner to head its operations in the city.

Mehta was previously a counsel at Samvad Partners, focusing on dispute resolution, general corporate advisory and M&A. She has experience advising clients on commercial arbitration, shareholder disputes, insolvency matters, pre-dispute advisory and banking matters.

The Bengaluru office widens Wadia Ghandy’s operations to six cities across India.

Technology and startup hub Bengaluru has seen a flurry of law firms launching offices in the city this year. Mumbai-based Stratage Law Partners hired Samvad partner Anisha Shroff to set up shop in the city in August, and Emerald Law Offices launched an office last month.

The Valid Points Law and Aretha Legal also commenced Bengaluru operations earlier this year.
