Overview

As fraud cases, money laundering incidents and other commercial crimes are on the rise due to increasing digital commerce activities, this has led to greater regulatory scrutiny and enforcement of such corporate misconducts across the world. If mishandled, the situation can deteriorate quickly and cause significant damage to businesses.

Regardless of what your role is in legal or compliance or audit, immediate steps need to be taken to safeguard your business and mitigate any further financial loss or reputational damages. This includes having to conduct workplace investigations to assess the situation and to help organizations manage the concerns of all relevant stakeholders.

This workshop will help participants understand how to plan internal investigations, acquire hands-on techniques to gather facts and evidence using advanced forensic technologies, including adoption of digital forensics, electronic discovery and forensic data analytics. The session will also provide tips for conducting interviews to become better investigators.

Just having a reactive approach doesn’t really help organizations. The workshop will also discuss the key elements – including relevant and effective governance, a supportive corporate culture and robust compliance controls - that are needed to embed a culture of integrity into the core of organizations, and the various stake holders role in entrenching these elements in the business.
