Paul Wilden, Group Head of Capital Markets Services
TMF Group

Paul Wilden is the Global Head of Capital Markets Services at TMF Group. Prior to joining TMF, he was with Standard Chartered Bank for over five years, where he managed the Corporate Agency & Trust business globally from Singapore. He also spent close to 10 years with BNY Mellon in London, Hong Kong and Singapore where he ran both regional businesses and regional sales teams for the Corporate Trust business. He joined BNY Mellon from Barclays, and prior to this worked at Citibank in London.

He has been in Asia for over 13 years and has close to 25 years’ experience in Capital Markets across Escrow, Corporate Bonds, Structured Finance, Project Finance and Syndicated Loans.

He has acted as both Chairman and Vice Chairman of the International Capital Markets Services Association (ICMSA) and played a role, as a member of the Financial Markets Law Committee, in securing a regulatory exemption for Financial Market Trustees.

He is a strong advocate of diversity & inclusion as a consequence of his own physical disability (he was only born with one ear and is profoundly deaf in his right ear). He is on the board of a number of charities both in Singapore and the UK.

Maree Myerscough, General Counsel
Conergy

Maree is the General Counsel for Conergy, a renewable energy company that develops, builds, owns and operates solar power generation assets. Conergy was recently acquired by Macquarie’s Green Investment Group.

At Conergy, she is a member of the senior management team and responsible for managing Conergy’s legal affairs in the Asia Pacific region.  She provides legal advice and transaction support for each of Conergy’s business units. She also provides strategic advice on investment opportunities, corporate governance and general commercial matters and helps to manage and mitigate disputes across the region.  She was awarded the 2018 Global Counsel Award in the category of Individual: General Commercial at a reception held in New York.

Before moving to an in-house role, she was a senior associate at Latham & Watkins in Singapore and gained extensive transactional experience in project development and financing. She was actively involved in the pro bono community, serving in various roles to facilitate pro bono opportunities for international lawyers in Singapore. Maree is qualified to practice law in Australia and England & Wales and has been based in Singapore for over eleven years.

Cheow Ai Ling, Leader Provate Equity and M&A Services Asia and ASEAN 
Marsh

Ai Ling leads both the Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions Services of ASIA and ASEAN and the Transactional Risk Practice of Asia in Singapore.  Ai Ling’s principal responsibility is advising private equity and corporate clients in their risk issues through their deal cycle. Ai Ling has pioneered the development and growth of warranty and indemnity insurance throughout ASEAN where she has achieved milestones such as placing the first onshore warranty and indemnity policy in Malaysia and Philippines, placing the first Litigation Buyout policy in Asia Pacific and recently, placing the policy with the largest limit in Asia.

She joined Marsh in May 2007 to start the PEMA Practice in ASEAN. She started her career in PricewaterhouseCoopers focusing on external and internal audit before moving to corporate risk management roles. Since starting the PEMA ASEAN practice in Marsh, Ai Ling has achieved a few milestones in the industry in the area of warranty and indemnity insurance as well as structuring various portfolio programs for the clients. She has been a frequent speaker in M&A events in ASEAN on the topic of warranty and indemnity insurance and is a trusted advisor to several key private equity clients. Ai Ling became the Asia Leader from 1 Jul 2017 onwards.

Ho How Wai,Group Legal & Corporate Secretariat
Ascendas – Singbridge Pte Ltd

How Wai joined Ascendas in 2008 and advised on real estate transactions in Southeast Asia and Australia for private real estate funds. From 2013 to 2017, he headed the compliance team and implemented the legal and regulatory compliance framework for the Ascendas-Singbridge group of companies as well as the listed Ascendas Hospitality and India Trusts.  He now advises on cross border real estate transactions, anti-trust, information technology and privacy related matters within the organization.

He graduated in 1994 from the National University of Singapore with an LL.B (Hons) degree.  He was in private practice in Singapore, Bangkok (from 2000 to 2005) and Dubai (from 2006 to 2008) prior to joining Ascendas, and had advised on general litigation matters, foreign investment transactions and merger and acquisitions.

Tony Kam, Vice President of Corporate Development
Cognizant

Tony has over 30 years of regional business, financial management, investment, and M&A experiences with major MNCs, large local corporations, and investment banks in APAC.  He has lived and worked in Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Beijing, and has travelled extensively to Japan, Australia, and India. 

Currently, he is the Vice President of Corporate Development of Cognizant based in Singapore, where he is in charge of M&A works for APAC and Middle-East.  Prior to joining Cognizant, he was the Senior Vice President of Finance & Commercial of a Temasek group company. Before that, he worked for Accenture and had held various senior regional finance positions in Asia including the role of APAC Director of Finance for one of the business units and was one of the founding principal of Accenture Corporate Development team in Asia. Before Accenture, he worked for HSBC Investment Bank in Hong Kong and Singapore.  He has a BSc degree from University College London and has done postgraduate study in Business at London School of Economics.  He is also a Certified Management Accountant from the USA. 

 
Fong Wei Kurk, Legal Director, Asia Pacific

Wei Kurk began his career as a Corporate Associate in Drew & Napier LLC in 2002. After an in-house stint as a Legal Officer in a Singapore statutory board, he joined the Capital Markets Department of Rajah & Tann LLP, where he undertook several public merger and acquisition deals. In 2008, Wei Kurk joined US law firm Vinson & Elkins LLP, one of the top energy law firms in the world, in their Shanghai office where he specialized in energy-related transactions and outbound M&A deals for the Chinese National Oil Companies.
 
In 2011, he returned to Singapore and served as the Legal Counsel and Company Secretary for BW Offshore, a leading Norwegian company in the FPSO industry. He joined the HeidelbergCement Group, the 2nd largest cement manufacturer in the world, in 2012 and is currently the Legal Director overseeing the Asia-Pacific region. He currently sits on the boards of Butra HeidelbergCement Sdn Bhd, HeidelbergCement Bangladesh Limited and Asia Cement Public Company Limited.

Ralf Pilarczyk, Managing Director, Regional Head of M&A Southeast Asia

Ralf is the Regional Head of Standard Chartered’s M&A business in Southeast Asia. He joined the bank in 2009. Prior to that, he has been with Citi for 10 years. He has 19 years of M&A experience in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. He has completed deals totalling more than USD65bn across sectors globally.
 
He holds an MBA from New York University (1999) and a Diploma in Finance from University of Stuttgart (1994)
Emilia Law, APAC Head of Legal 
Novartis Technical Operations

Emilia is Head of Legal for Novartis’ Technical Operations division and handles all legal and compliance matters relating to Novartis’ manufacturing and supply footprint in APAC, including strategic M&A transactions, acquisitions and divestments and product in/out-licensing. Emilia joined Novartis in 2017 from Blackstone Singapore, where she was Vice President Legal & Compliance and worked on Blackstone’s investments and portfolio across Asia pacific, India and Australasia for the Real Estate, Private Equity and Tactical opportunities funds. Prior to joining Blackstone, she trained and qualified at Herbert Smith LLP in London and worked for several years as an associate in Herbert Smith's Global Corporate M&A practice. She is admitted as a solicitor of England & Wales and holds a Masters in French & Russian from the University of Oxford. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, travelling in the Asia-pacific region and is a running and yoga enthusiast. 
April Raimundo, Chief Legal and Compliance Officer
EFA Group
 
April is Chief Legal Officer of EFA Group and is responsible for all legal matters including business and investment structuring, corporate and fund set up and other legal issues across all countries where EFA does business including Singapore, Hong Kong, UAE, Switzerland, UK, Romania, and Turkey. April oversees legal support in all areas of transaction management for capital finance, structured and trade commodity finance and provides support on restructuring and litigation for financing across Asia, Europe and the Middle East. She was the first legal counsel of EFA in 2011 and set up the legal and compliance platform of EFA through an accelerated growth period.
 
She was named one of five in-house lawyers in the 2016 edition of ALBs 40 under 40 and her team was shortlisted as banking and financial services in house team of the year in the ALB SEA Law Awards 2016. 
 
Prior to joining EFA Group, April was an Associate at Baker & McKenzie International. Her legal practice focused on various aspects of corporate and commercial work including mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting and review, doing business concerns, due diligence, outsourcing, special registrations and structuring of investments. Her industry concentrations included environment and natural resources, real estate, outsourcing and retail trade. 
Doris Marcellasi, VP Legal Affairs
Essilor Amera Pte Ltd

Doris Marcellesi is the Vice-President and General Counsel for Asia Pacific, Middle-East, Russia, Africa at Essilor, based in Singapore. Essilor is the worldwide leader of manufacturing and distribution of optical lenses. The Group is listed in the Euronext NYSE stock exchange in Paris and part of the “CAC 40” index. 

She supervises legal teams based in Singapore, India, Dubai and UAE. She is in charge of all legal matters across the region including an extensive M&A practice and is a member of the regional management committee. 

She has more than 20 years experience. She is qualified from the Paris Bar and previously worked in private practice in France. Before joining Essilor in 2009, she was heading the Competition law department of a top ranked French law firm.
