Indian boutique law firm AP & Partners has hired NL Ganapathi as a partner to bolster its dispute resolution capabilities, particularly in the oil and gas sector.

Ganapathi brings over 30 years of experience to the firm, with expertise in oil & gas, construction, investments, joint ventures, general commercial litigation, and arbitration. He joins AP & Partners from his own independent practice, which he has been running since 2012.

An Advocate-on-Record of the Supreme Court since 2000, Ganapathi had been a partner at Trilegal until 2011.

"Mr. Ganapathi's addition to the partnership significantly broadens the capabilities of our disputes team," a spokesperson for AP & Partners said in a statement.

AP & Partners was set up in 2019 by Anand Prasad, a founder of Trilegal, as a specialist boutique firm focusing on complex legal situations. The firm now has six partners, all of whom were previously Trilegal partners or counsel. They include M&A expert Dushyant Kumar, who joined last year from a role at the International Finance Corporation.

The firm lost two partners to JSA Advocates & Solicitors this year: corporate partner Harshit Anand and commercial litigation and white-collar crime expert Kamaljeet Singh.
