Cia Ai Eng, General Counsel, Marubeni Asian Power Singapore

Cia Ai is a seasoned general counsel in the energy and power sector.

Her workplaces her at the forefront of Asia Pacific’s sustainability journey and transition to net zero. She specialises in low carbon and renewable energy projects, with a focus on solar PV, battery storage and green hydrogen. Over the years she has advised on more than 30GW of power projects across APAC, giving her the opportunity to witness the region’s unprecedented push for green energy.

Cia Ai is an advocate and solicitor of Singapore. Prior to becoming an in-house lawyer, she was part of the power and infrastructure practice of Hogan Lovells where she advised renewable energy developers and RE100 companies on large scale low carbon energy projects.

Nadim Naccache, General Counsel, Virtual Internships

Nadim is an accomplished GC at Virtual Internships (VI), an Edtech startup that guarantees remote internships to students across the globe. With more than 12 years of experience, he supported VI’s growth pre-seed to series A funding, and its expansion from the UK to Vietnam and the USA. In a past life, Nadim worked for a GAR100 law firm and specialized in international arbitration, construction disputes and investor-state dispute settlement across Europe, the MENA region and Asia. Nadim is based in HCMC (Vietnam) where he has been living intermittently since 2012.

Susan Do, General Counsel, F88 Corporation

Susan Do is a licensed lawyer and has been the General Counsel at F88 for over five years. With 15 years of experience in legal and compliance roles at major corporations in Vietnam, including VinGroup, Viettel, VPBank, and BRG, she has played a key role in significant FDI projects and overseas investments worth hundreds of millions of USD. At F88, Susan led major transactions, contributed to successful fundraising rounds, and helped position the company as a market leader in inclusive financial services. Internally, she is recognized as an inspiring leader, dedicated to mentoring, training, and developing her legal team.

Tran Ngoc Thuy, Vietnam Legal Head, Cathay United Bank

Thuy is the Vietnam Legal Head of Cathay United Bank (CUB), a member of Cathay Financial Holdings (CFH) with strong presence in Vietnam, through entities such as CUB, Cathay Life, Cathay Insurance and Indovina Bank. 

CFH is the first Taiwanese financial holding company offering holistic financial products and corporate & retail banking services in Vietnam. 

Prior to joining CUB, Thuy headed legal affairs at a Malaysian bank and was a counsel at a French bank. Thuy also has significant private practice experience in Vietnam, working alongside Singapore-based colleagues on English law and Vietnam law-related matters on cross-border financings.
