Gaurav Gupta, who was previously the South Asia legal head at Bentley Systems for 13 years, has moved back to private practice with the launch of his new firm called Bridge Counsels, which aims at providing fractional and external general counsel services to companies.

With over two decades of experience in dealmaking, corporate advisory, and regulatory compliance, Gupta has spent close to seven years at AZB & Partners before transitioning to an in-house role at Bentley. As an in-house counsel, he specialised in contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, litigation management, and establishing legal safeguards in complex corporate environments.

Bridge Counsels is focused on assisting businesses with their day-to-day legal affairs, compliance requirements, contract management, legal risk management, and other regulatory challenges. The firm caters to startups, mid-sized companies, and multinational corporations, offering dedicated in-house legal services.

Positioned as a “legal partner in growth,” the firm is committed to “to assisting businesses with structured, proactive, and focused legal support to help them navigate challenges while ensuring regulatory compliance,” Gupta said in a statement.
