Trilegal has advised India’s Eruditus Learning Solutions on its $150 million Series F fundraising round, led by TPG’s The Rise Fund, with participation from SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Leeds Illuminate, Accel, CPP Investments, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, and certain individual investors.
Eruditus offers education programs through classroom or online training in collaboration with top global universities and faculties. The company is accelerating its investments in technology to harness the power of generative AI to enrich the learner experience further and provide enhanced learning solutions.
Eruditus’ funding round comes amid a mini-revival of edtech after the sector saw its most challenging period, with market leader Byju’s facing insolvency proceedings and rival Unacademy laying off over 250 employees. Things turned around earlier this year, with online coaching platform Physics Wallah raising $210 million in a Series B funding round, valuing the company at $2.8 billion.
The Trilegal team advising on the deal was led by corporate partners Amit Khansaheb and Pratyush Singh, and the team comprised of Bhavya Vatsa, Shaurya Jain and Neha Koppu.
